Margin Calculator is independently maintained to make common pricing calculations quick to check, easy to understand and simple to verify.
What the site does
Enter any two independent values and the calculator works out the related cost, selling price, profit, profit margin and markup. Unlike calculators that require one fixed pair of inputs, this tool also works backwards from a target margin, markup or profit.
How reliability is handled
We publish the formulas, rounding rules, validation behaviour and test cases used by the calculator. Calculations run locally in the browser without an account. Formula logic was last reviewed on August 28, 2026.

The calculator does not use artificial intelligence, exchange-rate data or hidden assumptions. Its result depends on the costs you choose to include, so a product-level margin is not automatically the same as a company’s final net margin.
