One complete unit
Walmart seller profit formula
The calculator begins with the total sales price used for the referral fee, then keeps fulfillment, storage, advertising and product costs visible instead of hiding them in one estimated percentage.
Total sales priceItem price + shipping and handling charged
Total entered costsReferral + fulfillment + storage + selling and product costs
Per-unit profitOrder revenue − total entered costs
Walmart states that total sales price includes the item price plus shipping, handling, gift wrap and other charges. This calculator includes the item price and entered shipping or handling; add unusual charges to the item price before relying on the result.
Referral fees
Category rules are applied before profit
Walmart's public US schedule uses fixed rates for many categories and price-dependent rules for others. For example, Consumer Electronics is listed at 8%, Personal Computers at 6%, Automotive & Powersports at 12% and Home, Kitchen, Decor & Garden at 15%. Apparel, Baby, Beauty and Grocery change rates at published price thresholds. Compact Appliances, Electronics Accessories, Furniture, Jewelry and Watches apply different percentages to portions of the sales price.

Choose “Custom referral rate” if Seller Center assigns the item to a category or subcategory not represented by a built-in option.
WFS fulfillment
Dimensional weight can exceed scale weight
For standard items of at least one pound, Walmart compares unit weight with dimensional weight, adds 0.25 lb for packaging and rounds up. Dimensional weight is packaged volume in cubic inches divided by 139. The calculator sorts the dimensions, evaluates length plus girth, applies the published standard weight tiers and adds applicable apparel, hazardous-material, under-$10 or oversize charges.
Dimensional weightLength × width × height ÷ 139
Big-and-bulky items use Walmart's separate published rate. Items beyond the public WFS weight or longest-side limits are flagged instead of being given a misleading fee.

Storage
Use packaged volume and the expected storage period
Standard January–September storage is calculated at $0.75 per cubic foot per month. For October–December inventory stored more than 30 days, the published $1.50 seasonal addition produces a $2.25 rate. Inventory stored more than 12 months can have a separate aged-storage charge; enter costs not modeled here under other Walmart fees.
Monthly storagePackaged cubic feet × applicable rate × months
Official example check
A 12 × 10 × 10 inch, 6 lb item
Walmart's published example has 1,200 cubic inches of volume, 8.63 lb of dimensional weight and a 9 lb rounded shipping weight after packaging. The 4–20 lb formula gives a $7.75 standard fulfillment fee. The calculator reproduces that result exactly.
